ADVERT: REVENUE CASHIER X 3 VACANCY

Shurugwi Town Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified personnel to fill in a vacant post of Revenue Cashier.

JOB SUMMARY

To collect, receipt and secure cash at Revenue Hall in line with Shurugwi Town Council ethics, policies and procedures.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receipting and Banking all Council cash;
  • Reconciles cash collected;
  • Attends to minor cash queries
  • Updates Cash book weekly
  • Compiles monthly reports
  • Prepares the cash for collection by the banking team
  • Performs any other duty within the scope of the job as assigned from time to time

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Diploma in Accounting or equivalent;
  • 5 `O` Levels including Maths/Accounts and English;
  • 1 year proven experience working in a similar environment;
  • Proficiency in Ms Excel, Ms word, PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of Promun system or any accounting package is an added advantage;
  • Self-starter and ability to work with minimum supervision.

REMUNERATION AND EMPLOYMENT CONDITION
