A vacancy has arisen at Shurugwi Town Council and applications are invited from suitably qualified, self motivated and task oriented individuals to fill in the following vacancy that have arisen in the Administration Department.
POSITION REF: DRIVER (1)/DEC 2020 – GRADE 6
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To drive Council Vehicles and to perform other Council errands.
- Ensuring daily maintenance of the assigned vehicle through vehicle checks
- Cleaning Council vehicles.
- Taking note of any faults and bringing them to the attention of the Department Head.
- Request fuel, travel advances and cash travel advances in a timely fashion.
- Ensuring cost-savings through proper use of vehicles and accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs and other documentation as required.
- Following the Zimbabwe road rules, including adhering to speed limits and the carrying of a valid driver’s license at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 O Levels including English Language.
- Clean class 2 driver’s license.
- Defensive driver certificate must.
- At least 2 years post qualification experience is an added advantage.
- Must have basic skills in vehicle maintenance.
ATTRIBUTES
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of the operations of Local Authorities.
- No criminal record.
