ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
VACANCY: SEWERAGE SUPERVISOR: GRADE 9 x 1 REF: SS/11/25
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task-oriented individuals to fill the above position that has arisen within the Engineering Department.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises sewer connection into sewer reticulation;
- Clear blockages on sewer lines and dislodges clogged manholes;
- Determines the amount of chloride of lime to be applied after de choking;
- Supervises the cleaning manholes and sewer lines;
- Record and repair damaged manholes and pipe;
- Supervises subordinates;
- Maintains wastewater pump stations pipework and report any faults noticed to the Plumber;
- Ensure communal septic tanks to keep them in good working order;
- Performs any other duty in the scope of this job as assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 “O” Level including English and Maths;
- Class 3 in drain laying or plumbing equivalent is an added advantage;
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar environment is an added advantage.
