Shurugwi Town Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified personnel to fill in vacant post of Receptionist.
JOB SUMMARY
First point of contact between the visitor and the company. Handles a variety of administrative support tasks, including answering phones, receiving visitors, preparing meetings and boardroom, sorting and distributing mails, and make travel plans.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive visitors, greeting and welcoming them.
- Reports any telephone faults to respective service providers to ensure that all telephones are fixed timeously to avoid communication breakdown.
- Provide customer support by answering the phone and replying to emails in a timely manner.
- Answers and forwarding incoming phone calls and direct visitors to the right office.
- Preparing meetings and boardroom.
- Compilation of reports.
- Assist in social media platforms administration.
- Scheduling appointment.
- Assisting with variety of administrative tasks which include photocopying, filing and taking notes.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Diploma in Secretarial studies or equivalent from a recognised Institution;
- 5 “O” Levels including English and Mathemathics;
- Prior experience with Microsoft office and typing;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Customer focused;
- High level of integrity and ability to work under pressure;
