Strategic Plan
Introduction
Crafting of the 2021-2025 Shurugwi Town Strategic plan was premised on a need to fulfil the national vision as provided within the Vision 2030. The idea behind was to ensure that the Strategic Plan is relevant and in tandem with our strategies and policies. Emerging issues such as the National Development Strategy which houses the NDS1, Digitalization and Smart City Concept calls for crafting the 2021-2025 Strategic Plan. The crafting committee commits itself to a number of mitigating factors in reinforcing the Strategic Plan. These factors shall include Partnerships, Program Based Budgets, Ring-Fencing, Income Generating Projects, Embracing Tourism and Aesthetic Values as well as rebranding the image of Shurugwi for investment promotion. With the coming of devolution; Council will be able to achieve its goals in a more vibrant manner. Council remains committed to implementing the outlined activities and outputs as detailed in the Plan. Ultimately, the outcomes would have a positive bearing on the desired impact both at local and national level. Shurugwi Town Council shall ensure that staff and stakeholders consider the Strategic Plan when developing, implementing or reviewing its service delivery mandate.
