Notice of Draft Master Plan on Public Exhibition:

SHURUGWI TOWN COUNCIL MASTER PLAN (2024-2039)

 

THE SHURUGWI TOWN COUNCIL hereby gives notice, in terms of subsection (2) of section 15 of the Regional, Town and Country Planning Act, Chapter 29: 12, as read with section 8 of the Regional, Town and Country Planning (Master and Local Plans) Regulations, 1977, that the SHURUGWI TOWN COUNCIL MASTER PLAN (2024-2039) has been adopted and is now on public exhibition commencing 15 October 2024 and ending 28 December 2024. All the documents: relevant to the draft master plan are on public exhibition at SHURUGWI TOWN COUNCIL. And can be accessed electronically on the following Website: www.stc.org.zw, www.ucaz.org.zw, www.mlg.gov.zw or requested via the email: stctownsecretary@gmail.com, on the following days and at the following times: 15th of October 2024 to 28th of December 2024 during week days that is Monday to Friday, working hours 08:00am to 04:30pm.

 

Any interested person or organization may make objections to, or representations regarding, the master plan, in writing to the Provincial Planning Officer, Midlands Province P O Box 9077, Gweru on or before 28TH OF DECEMBER 2024. Objections and representation should state the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. Objections or representations must, at the same time, be copied and sent to The Town Secretary, if

Explanatory note. – The area covered by this master plan is approximately 7241 Hectares encompassing a 10km radius increment from the boundaries of the lapsed master plan. The additional properties for incorporation include Impali Source A, R/E of Impali, Little Impali, Sebanga Park, Magakooshla Estates, Magakooshla A and B, Sebanga Poort, Resthaven farm, Adare, Lancaster Estate, Bethnol and Terrain farm.
