Shurugwi Town Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified personnel to fill in a vacant post of Builder Assistant.
JOB SUMMARY
To carry out building projects and planned maintenance and repair work in all Council Institutions in line with the Shurugwi Town Council`s ethics policies and procedures..
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Builds, maintains and repairs building structures as prescribed by the Builder
- Repairs damaged buildings as instructed by the Builder
- Compiles work in progress, daily and as when required by the supervisor
- Files job cards and time sheets for work done daily
- organizes building materials for the work at hand
- Carries out minor building projects and maintenance
- Performs any other duty within the scope of the job as assigned from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Class 3 Skilled worker certificate / equivalent
- 5 ‘O’ Level passes including Maths and English
- 2 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
