Shurugwi Town Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified personnel to fill in a vacant post of Billing Clerk.
JOB SUMMARY
Involved in the billing activities of the meter reading, receipting and banking in line with Shurugwi Town Council ethics, policies and procedures. Reports to Senior Billing Clerk.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Captures meter readings into the system;
- Checks for irregular bills and attends meter reading queries;
- Receipting and Banking all Council Cash;
- Performs any other duty within the scope of the job as assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Diploma in Accounting;
- 5 `O` Levels including Maths/Accounts and English;
- 2 years` experience in a similar environment;
- Computer literacy (Promun, Ms Excel, Ms word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Promun system or any accounting package is an added advantage;
- Self-starter and ability to work with minimum supervision.
