Shurugwi Town Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified personnel to fill in vacant post of Receptionist.
JOB SUMMARY
To provide clerical reception duties for the Administration and Human Capital department and Council at large in line with Shurugwi Town Council ethics, policies and procedures
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive visitors or clients and directing them to correct offices.
- Provide customer support by answering the phone and replying to emails in a timely manner.
- Answers and forwarding incoming phone calls and direct visitors to the right office.
- Requesting and collecting stationery for the Department.
- Organising sectional meetings and taking minutes.
- Assist in social media platforms administration.
- Assist in asset register management
- Assisting with variety of administrative tasks which include photocopying, filing and taking notes.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- A minimum of National Diploma in Secretarial studies, Public Relations or Local governance from a recognised Institution;
- 5 “O” Levels including English
- Experience in a Local Authority setup is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Computer literacy;
- High level of integrity and ability to work under pressure;
