ADVERT: Credit Controller Vacancy

Shurugwi Town Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team on a fixed contract basis for a period of 6 months. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial stability and success of our organization.

Contract Type: Contract (6 months)

Location: Shurugwi, Zimbabwe

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Contacting customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding debts;

– Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction on debtor balances;

– Maintaining accurate records of all debts as well as credit control activities;

– Reviewing and reconciling debtor accounts to ensure timeous payments by clients;

– Making follow ups on all payment plans approved by Council;

– Working closely with the finance team to improve debt collection processes and minimize bad debts;

– Providing regular reports on debt status and collection activities.

-Performs any other duty within the scope of the job as assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

– Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

– 1 year proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role.

– Sound knowledge of credit control procedures and principles.

– Strong understanding of financial and accounting practices.

– Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

– Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
